BodyPump that Body

I love weight training. Among all the physical activities that I enjoy, weight training helps me get stronger and retain muscle mass. Plus, there’s something powerful about pumping iron. It’s a natural high. A feeling that I can concur anything that comes my way. On my birthday weekend, I embarked on a new journey. I participated in the initial teaching certification for BodyPump Group class. Two days of intensity; both physically and mentally.

BodyPump is part of the Les Mills franchise originating in New Zealand. BodyPump uses barbells with low weight and high repetitions to burn fat and build muscle. You will experience 70-100 repetitions per body part.

In any give class you will:
*Improve your strength
*Perform 70-100 repetitions per body part totaling up to 800 repetitions in a single workout
*Improve your general fitness
*Shape and tone your muscles
*Protect your bones and joints from injury
*Get into shape fast

I can attest to the shaping and toning of muscles. Within 90days of doing BodyPump twice a week, I begin to see a shift of toner muscles in my upper body.

If you’ve never tried weight training, I highly recommend it. The class is suitable for any fitness level. All you need to bring is a willingness to work hard. I’m challenged weekly and never bored with the music nor the routine because there’s a new release out every 3months.

I tell you what.. when I’m certified come check out my class. You might leave a little sore, but you won’t be disappointed.
