Massage Without Borders

Posted on June 7th, 2013 by Shari´ Parks

Massage Without Borders is the brain child of Gloria Coppola, owner of Massage Pro C.E. and 2011 Massage Therapy Hall of Fame inductee. Founded soon after Hurricane Sandy devastated the East Coast. Coppola, who is the former owner of a massage school in New Jersey, began to receive calls from former students seeking help for those who lost everything to run their practice. This nonprofit grassroots effort fueled by Massage Therapist and other bodyworkers has distributed financial and product donations, including massage tables and other aid to assist bodyworkers in rebuilding their practices.

Massage Without Borders continues to raise funds and accept donations. Coppola says Massage Without Borders is interested in expanding its mission beyond Hurricane Sandy assistance to more broadly serve Massage Therapist in need.
