Pregnancy Massage

In the last few weeks I have had the privilege of working with expected mother’s. Pregnancies ranging from three months to eight months, these soon to be mom’s truly enjoyed their bodywork.

Prenatal massage enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue. The gentle, non invasive approach of prenatal massage can ease discomfort associated with pregnancy, help the mother-to-be prepare for labor and give her nurturing emotional support.

At the conclusion of these sessions I suggested that the mothers-to-be practice self-massage and stretching sequences in between regular prenatal appointments. I also encouraged them to schedule prenatal appointments weekly and bi-monthly until the birth of their bundle of joy.
